Drink Strength & Service Speed
A recurring concern is that alcoholic drinks can taste watered down, and service at pool bars can be slow, sometimes requiring guests to approach the bar directly.
Beach Expectations
While beachfront, some guests find the actual beach less impressive than expected due to the presence of anti-algae barriers and occasional seaweed accumulation.
Pool Chair Availability
Guests occasionally report difficulty finding available loungers at the pools or beach, as popular spots can be reserved early in the morning by other guests.
Limited Value of Credits
Resort credits or coupons provided often have restrictive terms, applying only to a narrow range of paid services and not covering premium dining or other desired extras.
Ambient Noise
Some visitors note that the 'lounge' music played throughout the hotel can be perceived as too loud, potentially impacting the desired tranquil atmosphere.

Secrets Moxché opened in 2022 as one of the newer Riviera Maya properties to enter the luxury adults-only market, and its design identity is distinct enough to stand out: three man-made cenotes built into the pool complex, a speakeasy nightclub accessed via a functioning pharmacy facade (ask your concierge for the password), and interior design that references Yucatan earthy tones and Maya architectural motifs. The result is a property with more character than the generic all-inclusive formula.
The Hilton Honors affiliation through AMR Collection adds points earning potential and connects the stay to the Sip, Savor & See program, which gives dining access at nearby sister properties. This is a practical bonus for guests who enjoy extending their culinary options beyond a single resort campus.
There are things to know before booking. Drinks get mixed reviews — some guests report finding them watered down and advise asking specifically for top-shelf brands by name. Pool and beach lounger competition is real: guests who want preferred spots are arriving by 8 AM in peak season. The beach is described by some guests as "nothing special" — the anti-algae barriers that protect Riviera Maya beaches from sargassum seaweed affect the swimming experience. Music volume throughout the common areas is noted as running louder than some guests prefer.
The property sits in Corasol, a private development about 40–65 minutes from Cancun International Airport (CUN) depending on traffic. Corasol has limited walkout access to local restaurants or town atmosphere — this is a self-contained campus experience.
