Prime Location
Guests consistently praise the hotel's excellent central location, offering easy access to Levante Beach, the city center, and Benidorm's vibrant nightlife and shopping.
Exemplary Service
The staff across all departments, from reception to bars and restaurants, are frequently commended for being friendly, efficient, polite, and exceptionally helpful.
Impeccable Cleanliness
The resort maintains consistently high standards of cleanliness, with both guest rooms and common areas frequently described as immaculate.
Quality Dining & Entertainment
Guests appreciate the good quality and selection of food, including buffet with show cooking and themed nights, complemented by engaging daily activities and excellent evening entertainment.
Sunbed Scarcity
During peak times, securing sunbeds by the pool can be challenging due to high demand and potential early reservations by other guests.
Extra Charges
While all-inclusive, guests should be aware that specific spa treatments, thermal circuits (unless in premium packages), and in-room amenities like safes incur additional costs.
Cold Outdoor Pool
The outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi can be quite cold, particularly during cooler months, which might be a surprise for a hotel with 'Spa' in its name.
Room Conveniences
The absence of complimentary in-room tea/coffee making facilities with supplies, and the charge for the safe, are minor recurring inconveniences noted by guests.

Internal/External Audit
Sandos Monaco Beach Hotel & Spa is a 4-star superior adults-only (16+) all-inclusive in central Benidorm, built in 1972 and substantially refurbished in 2009. Its 199 rooms are in the middle of town — Levante Beach is 400–450 meters away, the Benidorm old town is walkable, and the city's nightlife is immediately accessible after the hotel's entertainment program ends. This is the combination that distinguishes it from more isolated Spanish resorts: you get the all-inclusive structure plus the option to step outside and explore.
The spa is the property's strongest differentiator among Benidorm all-inclusives. Nine treatment rooms including a couples' suite, a thermal circuit (sauna, Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, cold pool), and a Stylist's Center — it's a more complete facility than most 4-star all-inclusives offer. Select room guests get one complimentary spa circuit visit per stay; Wellness room guests get one complimentary treatment. The outdoor pool is adults-only throughout, with a whirlpool adjacent.
The dining setup is a single main buffet restaurant (Fontvieille) for all three meals, with the Indian à la carte Khas Mahal at the sister property Sandos Benidorm Suites for guests staying five or more nights. One dinner included with reservation. The buffet earns consistently positive reviews for Mediterranean and local Canarian dishes, fresh seafood emphasis, and show cooking. The main complaint: sunbeds at the pool get claimed early in peak season — a competition-for-chairs situation familiar at Spanish all-inclusives.
For couples visiting outside summer (October–April), the outdoor pool's lack of heating and the cold Jacuzzi are noted limitations. Red wine served chilled is a minor but recurring annoyance that persists across reviews — ask for it unchilled specifically.
