The water park is why you book Royalton Splash Punta Cana. It has some of the most extensive slide infrastructure of any all-inclusive in the Caribbean — large enclosed slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, and a dedicated kids' splash zone. If you're traveling with children ages 4–14 who want a water park experience without a day-trip admission fee, this is one of the better setups in Punta Cana. The park is literally within the resort grounds, not an off-site day trip.
The Stay at 1, Play at 2 arrangement with adjacent Royalton Punta Cana (now renovated post-2024) effectively doubles the dining and activity options. You have about 15+ restaurants between both properties and guests move freely. This matters for week-long stays when variety is important.
At 525 rooms, this is a large-scale resort and it operates that way — the pool areas get crowded, the buffet handles volume, and the entertainment is geared toward mass appeal. The Escape Room and Arcade/VR Gaming are unusual inclusions for an all-inclusive and are popular with older kids and teens who want something different from water sports. The on-site casino (Genesis Casino) opens options for adults in the evening.
The honest assessment: couples without children will find Royalton Splash less appealing than many alternatives on Bavaro Beach. The energy here skews toward families with active kids. Bavaro Beach is good — wide, calm, well-serviced — but sargassum can affect the whole coast June through September. The airport transfer is 21–32 minutes from Punta Cana International, manageable with children. Bavaro has dozens of competing all-inclusives at similar price points; what Royalton Splash offers that most don't is the embedded water park.
