This structure is the central selling point: Hideaway guests get a quieter, more intimate property of their own — exclusive beach section, dedicated pools, and a smaller hotel feel — while retaining access to the full range of dining, entertainment, and water park facilities across the adjacent properties. You get the scale without the noise.
The property is specifically targeted at romantic travel — honeymoons, anniversaries, and couples who want butler service in an adults-only setting. The Dorado Seafood & Grill is exclusive to Hideaway guests and is routinely praised as one of the strongest seafood restaurants in the Royalton Punta Cana complex. With 9 additional restaurants accessible through the shared campus, the total dining range is broad for a 168-room property.
Bavaro Beach is the venue's main natural asset — white sand, calm clear water, and one of the most reliable beach environments in the Dominican Republic. The caveat is seasonal sargassum seaweed, which affects Bavaro intermittently and can significantly change the beach experience. The resort works actively to clear it, but conditions are not predictable. The beach section itself is also described as compact relative to the overall guest count across the campus — competition for prime spots exists.
Practically: the resort is 27–28 km from Punta Cana International Airport, about a 24–30 minute drive. It was built in 2013 and last renovated in 2017. All rooms are 409–534 sq ft; the only room with an in-suite Jacuzzi is the Honeymoon Jacuzzi Suite. Some buildings lack elevators — guests with mobility concerns should request ground-floor rooms at booking.
