Rixos Tersane Istanbul opened in 2022 in the Tersane district along the Golden Horn (Haliç), occupying a building integrated with the heritage of a 600-year-old Ottoman shipyard. The resort's architectural identity—modern luxury inside an Ottoman waterfront industrial complex—is the most specific reason to choose this property over other Istanbul five-star hotels. The Golden Horn waterway views from the infinity pool and higher-floor rooms provide a genuine Istanbul experience rather than a generic hotel backdrop.
This is an urban resort, not a beach property. There is no sand beach access—the Golden Horn is an estuary, not a swimming waterway. Guests who want beach access need to plan day trips or choose a different Istanbul hotel. The value proposition here is Istanbul city access combined with a resort-level amenity package: spa, fitness, heated year-round pool, multiple restaurants, and the Nickelodeon Play facility included for families.
The dining program is more restaurant-focused than typical all-inclusive. Josephine Istanbul—with the Crab, Oyster, Caviar, Lobster Thermidor, and Beef Chateaubriand menu—is a serious fine-dining venue at an extra charge.
