  • Loud Evening Entertainment

The volume of music in some evening entertainment venues can be high, which may not suit guests seeking quieter nocturnal experiences.

  • Additional Activity Costs

Many desirable activities like spa treatments, private cabanas, and most water sports incur extra charges, which can impact the perceived value for some.

Overview

Rixos Premium Magawish Suites and Villas arrived on Hurghada's Red Sea coast in March 2021 with a specific positioning: no standard rooms at all. Every accommodation category starts at suite level, and the range extends up to executive villas and a Royal Villa with private pool. The 30 pools across the property—nine distinct pool types including heated options—give the aquatic offering a scale that most Hurghada competitors can't match.

The resort is best suited for couples and upmarket families who want the full Red Sea experience (the 1 km private beach with clear snorkeling water is genuine) alongside a resort-contained vacation with high food variety. The seven à la carte restaurants, all included in the ultra all-inclusive rate, cover Brazilian, Turkish, Mediterranean, seafood, Asian, and more—significantly more diversity than Hurghada's typical all-inclusive scene. The Lagoon Swim-up Suites are a particular selling point for guests who want resort-forward luxury rather than city hotel territory.

Hurghada International Airport (HRG) is 7 km away—transfers take 10–20 minutes, which is one of the shortest in Egypt's resort towns. That convenience matters if you're arriving on a late flight or departing early.

The main limitation is typical for Hurghada: the Red Sea water here is excellent for snorkeling and diving, but this isn't the Maldives for pristine beach aesthetics. The private beach has a large underwater net to keep large fish out of the swimming area, which is practically useful but worth knowing. Families with under-4s should note the kids' club starts at age 1.

Pros

  • +All 410 accommodations are suites or villas—no standard rooms. The entry-level suite still comes with a separate living area, which is a meaningful baseline for this price category.
  • +7 km from Hurghada Airport means 10–20 minute transfers—useful for late flights or early departures.
  • +The 1 km private beach is one of the longer stretches in Hurghada, giving adequate space even in peak season.
  • +La Churrascaria (Brazilian churrascaria) and Lalezar (Turkish cuisine) are genuinely uncommon in Egyptian all-inclusives—the dining variety is a real differentiator.

Cons

  • −The pool count (30 pools) sounds impressive but includes individual villa pools—the shared pool capacity is proportionate to the 410-room occupancy, not extraordinary.
  • −The ultra all-inclusive rate in the suite-and-villa category comes at premium pricing that significantly exceeds comparable Hurghada alternatives.
  • −No dedicated teen club—teenagers aged 13–17 fall into the general activities program rather than a targeted youth space.

Tips

  • Book all à la carte restaurants on your first afternoon—the concierge desk is the most efficient way to reserve multiple venues at once. Most are popular enough that same-day booking risks missing your preferred time.
  • The Lagoon Swim-up Suite direct pool access is most usable in the morning before noon-day heat makes the water uncomfortable—the best scenario is a morning pool session followed by a beach afternoon.
  • The Red Sea snorkeling is best in the morning when water clarity is highest and fish activity is greater. Ask at the water sports desk which side of the beach has the best current reef access.
