Playa Taurito's geography is what makes this resort different from the typical Gran Canaria strip all-inclusive. The beach is small — 160 meters — tucked between cliffs and mountains, and the sand is dark volcanic rather than the white sand of more southern Gran Canaria resorts. Guests who know what they're signing up for typically love the natural setting; guests who expect a long Caribbean-style beach are routinely disappointed. It's the most important thing to know before booking.
The 2024 renovation is the other key fact: 404 rooms updated, making this a better value for the mid-range all-inclusive market than it was pre-renovation. Families are the primary audience — the Aquasplash children's area, Mini Club, and Teen Club are the distinguishing features over adult-only alternatives in Costa Adeje. Couples and singles are welcome and well-served, but this is not a quiet property.
The complimentary daily shuttle to Puerto de Mogán is a practical inclusion. Puerto de Mogán (sometimes called 'Little Venice') has better restaurants, a market, and more local atmosphere than the resort environment. The shuttle gives guests a genuine escape from the resort bubble without renting a car.
Practically: 404 rooms, Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) approximately 53 km and 45 minutes away. Three swimming pools (one heated in winter). Two restaurants — the main Food Market buffet and The One (Esencia tier or supplement). The Esencia All Inclusive and Premium tiers unlock The One restaurant and expanded beverage options.
