The Leading Hotels of the World
The swimmable beach is the headline. Most of Los Cabos' coastline is too rough for swimming, but the private crescent cove at Paradisus Los Cabos offers calm, clear water directly in front of the property — a genuine rarity that immediately separates this resort from its competitors up and down the Palmilla corridor. The beach alone draws couples back year after year.
This is a resort built for adults who want genuine luxury without managing kids around them. The transition to fully adults-only in January 2024 sharpened the experience — fewer crowds at pools, quieter dining rooms, and staff who calibrate their service accordingly. The Destination Inclusive programming, from mezcal tastings to Latin dance instruction to sushi workshops, runs throughout the week and is genuinely worth participating in rather than skipping. Couples celebrating anniversaries or honeymooners looking for more substance than a beach chair will find it here. Those wanting a rowdy party resort or an affordable all-inclusive should look elsewhere.
The honest drawback: room quality hasn't kept pace with the resort's pricing. Multiple guests report worn furnishings, occasional musty odors, and paint showing its age — issues that are jarring at a property marketing itself at the luxury tier. The Gastro Bar by Martín Berasategui concept is the marquee dining experience, but it carries a surcharge and requires advance reservations. And while beverage quality is consistently strong across the 18 venues, food consistency at several included restaurants is uneven.
Practically speaking: 350 suites occupy a 25-minute drive (approximately 15 miles) from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). All rooms are suites — minimum 430 sq ft — with private terraces. The all-inclusive program covers meals at most restaurants, all drinks, non-motorized water sports, and activities. The Reserve tier adds butler service, a private pool, dedicated restaurant access, and the YHI Spa hydrotherapy circuit. Pricing sits in the upper tier for Cabo all-inclusives; The Reserve adds roughly 30-40% to nightly rates.
High season runs December through April, when the Sea of Cortez is calmest and desert nights are cool. July through September brings heat and humidity. Turtle nesting season (June-November) means seasonal turtle releases on the beach — a memorable event worth requesting from the activities desk if you're visiting during that window.
