The honest problem with this location: Uvero Alto Beach has strong wave action that makes ocean swimming less suitable for young children than calmer Caribbean spots like Bávaro. Seaweed can also be an issue. Many families end up spending most water time in the Aqua Nick park rather than the ocean, which is fine if you know this going in. The 40–45 minute drive from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) is longer than most Punta Cana hotels.
