The 4-star positioning is honest: this is a well-maintained family property with broad amenities rather than a luxury product. The Emotions Select tier (suite categories) adds dedicated concierge service and enhanced inclusions for guests who want a step up within the same resort.
For families, the facility checklist is strong: pirate-themed kids' pool with waterslides, rock climbing wall, mini-golf, Kids Club (ages 4–12), Teen Club (13–17), two swim-up bars, an adults-only pool, and 300 yards of calm, swimmable golden sand beach in Nuevo Vallarta's protected bay. Non-motorized water sports — kayaks, boogie boards, windsurfing, sailing, and snorkeling — are included. These are genuine beach-use inclusions, not just marketing.
