Spacious & Clean Accommodations
The resort's apartment-style suites and villas are frequently lauded for their generous size, beautiful decor, and high standards of cleanliness, often featuring balconies with stunning ocean views.
Stunning Private Cove Location
The resort's picturesque beachfront setting on a private cove, offering breathtaking ocean vistas from many vantage points, is a major draw for guests seeking a beautiful and tranquil environment.
Relaxing Spa Experience
The Grande Spa is consistently noted by guests as a beautiful and high-quality facility, providing a relaxing and rejuvenating experience with its extensive treatment options and unique Himalayan Salt Lounge.
Inconsistent Beach Quality
While the private beach is appreciated, some guests report issues with sea grass and murky water in certain sections, along with a noted lack of readily available beach umbrellas.
Air Conditioning Issues
Occasional complaints arise regarding noisy air conditioning units in rooms and, at times, a lack of effective cooling in public areas like restaurants or the main lobby.
Room Service Delivery Fee
Despite 24-hour room service being complimentary, a delivery fee is applied to each order, which some guests find unexpected for an all-inclusive resort and can add up.
Dated Suite Aspects
A few guests have observed that some areas, particularly suites in the older Sable Palm and Silver Palm towers, may appear somewhat dated and could benefit from renovations.

Four Diamond Hotel
Ongoing
AAA
The Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa, part of Hilton's Curio Collection, opened September 27, 2017 as a conversion of the former Palmyra Resort & Spa condo complex. An 88-suite tower was added during the renovation. The property holds AAA Four Diamond status and sits 10–15 minutes (approximately 10–10.5 km) from Sangster International Airport (MBJ) — one of the shorter airport transfers among luxury Jamaican all-inclusives.
The 217 suites and villas are apartment-style, which shapes the experience more fundamentally than at most all-inclusives. Entry-level one-bedroom suites start around 806 sq ft. Two and three-bedroom suites include full kitchens with stainless steel appliances, dishwashers, and washer/dryers in some categories. This makes the property genuinely practical for extended stays and family groups who want separate sleeping spaces without the confinement of a standard hotel room layout. The three-bedroom penthouse categories reach 5,000–5,500 sq ft.
Butler service applies from two-bedroom suites upward — not to one-bedroom categories. Guests consistently describe the WhatsApp-based butler system as the most responsive they've encountered in Jamaica, with requests handled quickly and proactively. This makes the two-bedroom tier the practical starting point for guests whose primary interest is the personalized service model rather than just the room space.
The Grande Spa's 30,000 square feet include 14 treatment rooms, a couples' suite, VIP treatment rooms, the Himalayan Salt Lounge (Jamaica's only), hydrotherapy pools, steam bath, sauna, and jacuzzi. The salt lounge uses radiant heated benches in a microclimate said to benefit respiratory health and sleep quality — access to it is typically associated with booked treatments rather than standalone entry, though current policy should be confirmed at check-in. Steam bath, sauna, and jacuzzi are included.
The dining program spans eight restaurants. Waves (international/Jamaican, award-winning) and Pierside Restaurant (Asian fusion with teppanyaki over the Caribbean) are the standout specialty venues. Orchids provides the daily buffet with authentic Jamaican breakfast items. Cricket's Grill and Jam-Mex handle casual Jamaican and Jamaican/Mexican fusion respectively. Moonstone covers Italian on an outdoor terrace; Le Bouchon handles steakhouse. The Sugar Cane and Ortanique are café options.
Guest reviews flag some consistent issues worth knowing: sea grass and murky water in parts of the private beach, maintenance wear in the older Sable Palm and Silver Palm towers, and limited umbrella availability on the beach. The Sentry Tower — the newer addition — receives stronger reviews for room condition and proximity to key amenities. A room service delivery fee applies per order, which some guests find unexpected in an all-inclusive context.
