TUI
Ikos Porto Petro is the brand's first Mallorca property and one of its newest, having opened in June 2023. The location between two small sandy coves — Caló dels Homes Morts and Caló de Sa Torre — sets it apart architecturally from most Mallorcan resorts, which sit on larger open beaches. The coves are smaller and more sheltered, which means less swell and calmer water for swimming. The tradeoff is that guests who want a long sandy beach to walk may be disappointed — these are cove beaches, not stretches.
Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) is about 58 km away — roughly a 50-minute drive. The resort is in the southeast corner of the island, in municipality of Santanyí, which is less trafficked than the southwestern coast near Palma. A 2026 expansion will add new Deluxe Villas and suites, increasing capacity from 319 to 396 rooms.
The Infinite Lifestyle program mirrors the brand standard: six a la carte restaurants with Michelin-starred menus, seven bar areas, 24-hour room service, a complimentary Tesla for a day, the Dine Out program for local Mallorcan cuisine, and a Culture Pass for cultural sites. The 1,200-square-meter spa is the largest in the Ikos portfolio, with ten treatment rooms including three couples suites and a dedicated Thai massage room. A cryochamber is an unusual addition at this size of resort — cold therapy for muscle recovery.
Guest reviews are generally strong but contain some consistent notes: the breakfast buffet can feel rushed and chaotic during peak occupancy, some guests have reported unexpected maintenance issues in rooms (cleaning quality, outdoor furniture conditions), and the cove beaches being public — Ikos secures exclusive sections but other beach visitors are present — can detract from the private beach experience guests expect at this price tier.
