Family-Friendly Facilities
Families particularly appreciate the extensive range of childcare services, including complimentary kids' and teen clubs, which allow both children to be entertained and parents to relax.
Adult-Only Spaces
A recurring concern is the desire for more dedicated adult-only areas, especially around pools, restaurants, and bars, to enhance the tranquil experience for couples without children.
Room Modernization
Prior to ongoing renovations, some guests noted that older room types could benefit from updates to match the luxury standards of newer Ikos properties. This is being addressed by renovations expected by April 2025.
Overall Cost
While generally seen as good value for the luxury inclusions, some guests mentioned the overall holiday cost as being on the higher side, suggesting it is a premium product.

Ikos Olivia is the first property Ikos built in the Chalkidiki peninsula, opening in 2015 at Gerakini on the Gulf of Toroneos. In 2024, the public areas and restaurants were updated; by April 2025, all rooms and suites are slated for a complete redesign, alongside a new garden entrance. This is meaningful context for guests booking in late 2025 and beyond — the renovation will address the dated room feedback that appeared in earlier reviews.
The 450-meter private Blue Flag beach along the Gulf of Toroneos is the property's best physical feature. Turquoise water, fine sand, and shallow entry make it genuinely good for swimming. The resort grounds cover 22 acres of ancient olive trees and firs, creating shade and natural atmosphere that most Greek beach resorts don't have. Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) is approximately 70 km away — typically a 35-minute to one-hour drive depending on traffic.
The Infinite Lifestyle program covers six restaurants (five a la carte, one buffet), 300 wine labels, premium spirits, 24-hour room service, Dine Out at local tavernas, complimentary use of a car for one day (Deluxe Collection tier), and non-motorized watersports. The wine list — 300 Greek and international labels — is one of the more comprehensive all-inclusive wine programs in Europe.
The loudest guest complaint is the perceived lack of adult-only pool areas relative to family zones, with some reviews suggesting the balance tips too far toward families. Dedicated adults-only beach sections and a specific adults-only pool bar exist, but guests seeking a genuinely tranquil adult atmosphere may find the overall energy more family-forward than expected. The Deluxe Collection addresses this with a private pool and beach sections.
