Best Luxury All-Inclusive Resorts
A 900-suite adults-only resort that reinvents the all-inclusive formula with artist-in-residence workshops, unlimited access to seven parks, and a property that is itself a showcase of Mexican contemporary art and architecture.

Hotel Xcaret Arte opened in December 2021 as the adults-only companion to Hotel Xcaret México. The 900 suites are distributed across five architecturally distinct Casas — each with its own aesthetic, pool, and in some cases, exclusive restaurant access. The eco-integrated design works with the natural landscape rather than clearing it: rivers run through the grounds, and Muluk Spa has treatment rooms carved directly into rock faces and hillsides.
The All-Fun Inclusive program is the central differentiator. Unlike standard all-inclusive programs that cover food and drink, this one includes unlimited access and round-trip transportation to all eight Grupo Xcaret parks: Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xenses, Xoximilco, Xenotes, and Xcaret Xailing (which covers ferry trips to Isla Mujeres and Cozumel). For guests who would pay admission to these parks separately, the included access adds substantial value — a full day at Xcaret alone typically costs $100+ per person.
Dining is the other area where this property overdelivers relative to standard all-inclusives. Encanta — led by Michelin-star Chef Paco Méndez — serves a contemporary Mexican tasting menu and is included for all guests (reservation required). Xaak is a six-course theatrical tasting menu with music and dance elements available at extra charge. The remaining eight restaurants are included and cover the range from Tah-Xido's teppanyaki tables to Apapachoa's vegan rooftop menu. Quality is consistently praised as significantly above typical all-inclusive standards.
Muluk Spa has 21 treatment rooms — an unusually large number for a 900-suite property. The hydrotherapy circuit (sauna, steam room, hot and cold plunge pools, experience showers, Jacuzzis, cold room, and a therapeutic pool overlooking a river) is the spa's most distinctive feature and is available with treatment booking. The adults-only policy (16+) keeps the atmosphere oriented toward couples and groups seeking cultural engagement and calm luxury rather than pool parties.
Practically: 900 suites, opened December 2021, 45–60 minutes from Cancun International Airport (CUN), round-trip airport transfers included. 15 pools total across the property. Adults-only (16+).
