Pool Temperature Concerns
Many guests report the main outdoor pool to be uncomfortably cold, and there are occasional concerns regarding the indoor pool's temperature and cleanliness, particularly during cooler months.
Inconsistent WiFi
WiFi connectivity throughout the resort, even in public areas and rooms, is a recurring point of frustration for guests, often described as poor, unreliable, or non-existent.

Hotel Riu Tikida Palmeraie fills a practical niche: it's one of very few family all-inclusive options in Marrakech, a city that's historically been served by boutique riads and luxury hotels rather than package resorts. The 2019 renovation updated the 392 rooms and common areas significantly, and the 13-acre garden layout gives families room to spread without feeling cramped.
The complimentary shuttle to central Marrakech and the Medina is the amenity that makes this property work as a Moroccan holiday rather than just a generic pool resort. The shuttle schedules allow you to spend mornings exploring the souks and Djemaa el-Fna, then return to the resort for lunch and pool time — a rhythm that many families find ideal. The RiuLand kids' club runs daily with activities for ages 4–12, giving parents independent time.
The honest shortfalls are consistent in the guest record: the main outdoor pool is frequently reported as too cold for comfortable swimming, even in summer. The heated indoor pool resolves this but it's a smaller space. WiFi is described by multiple guests as poor to non-functional — offline preparation matters here more than at most resorts. The main buffet becomes repetitive after 5–6 days; the two specialty restaurants (Moroccan El Nakheel and Italian La Trattoria) are essential for variety and both require reservations.
Practically: 392 rooms, opened 2009, renovated early 2019, about 12–13 km from Marrakech-Menara Airport (RAK), 15–20 minute drive. Family-friendly with kids' club. No beach. Adjacent to a golf course — convenient for golfers. Eco-certified property.
