Agadir's beach is the longest and best-developed Atlantic coast beach in Morocco, and Hotel Riu Tikida Dunas puts you directly on it. The property's five-pool setup — including a heated indoor pool for the cooler winter months — combined with direct beachfront access makes it the most complete aquatic experience available in the city.
The primary audience is European families looking for a Morocco winter sun holiday. Agadir has reliable sunshine from October through April when northern European weather makes a heated outdoor pool non-negotiable — and the indoor heated pool here means year-round swimming regardless of air temperature. The city center and Agadir's scenic promenade are accessible on foot or by a short taxi ride.
The honest critique from the guest record: some areas of the hotel show their age, and the buffet can feel repetitive on stays beyond 5–6 days. The themed specialty restaurants — Alhambra (Moroccan) and Kaori (Asian) — are the antidote, but they require advance reservations and operate on two fixed sittings per evening. If you want variety in dining, book those restaurants the day you arrive. The thalassotherapy center at the adjacent Riu Tikida Beach adds spa-grade hydrotherapy at extra charge and is worth the walk if that matters to you.
Practically: 406 rooms, 4-star, about 18–30 km from Agadir-Al Massira Airport (AGA), roughly 30 minutes by taxi. The property has two outdoor tennis courts, a full sports program, and a kids' club (4–12) plus teen program (13–17, mainly summer). The local city tax of 16.24 MAD per person per night is billed separately — factor it in.
