Grand Palladium Bavaro Suites Resort & Spa sits on Bavaro Beach on the eastern Dominican Republic coast, about 20 km from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) — typically a 25-minute transfer. Originally built in 1992 with renovations in 2003 and 2013, the property completed a transformative $61.5 million renovation in 2025 that refreshed every guest room, all lobby areas, pool zones, and dining venues. This is one of the most recently refreshed large all-inclusives in Punta Cana.
The 673-suite resort is part of the Grand Palladium Punta Cana complex — three interconnected properties sharing 320,000 square meters of tropical grounds. The all-inclusive rate provides access to all restaurants, bars, and facilities across the full complex, which in practice means 13 restaurants, 25+ bars, six pools, and one of Punta Cana's most extensive sports complexes. A free internal trolley connects the three properties.
This resort is a strong fit for families with children of any age: the Pirate's Castle baby club (ages 1–3) runs 9 AM–10 PM; the Mini Club (4–12) runs until 11 PM with arts, crafts, and outdoor play; the Black & White Junior Club for teenagers features gaming, table sports, and themed events. The beach — Blue Flag certified and running about one kilometer — has complimentary non-motorized water sports including windsurfing, catamaran sailing, and kayaking.
The honest trade-off is scale. The property is sprawling by design: moving between your suite, your preferred pool, the beach, and a specific restaurant can involve meaningful distances, especially for guests in buildings farthest from the beachfront. The internal trolley helps, but factor this in if mobility is a concern. The à la carte restaurants use a waitlist/beeper system rather than advance reservations — popular venues require patience during peak season. The Zentropia Spa hydrotherapy circuit carries a $35 daily surcharge unless you book a treatment, which makes the surcharge worth avoiding by simply booking something.
Price tier: upper mid-range to upscale. The 2025 renovation means value-for-condition is currently at a high point.
