The Gran Canaria Princess is a 4-star adults-only property in the heart of Playa del Inglés, a major resort town on Gran Canaria's southern coast. The property holds 431 rooms and underwent a meaningful renovation in 2013. The airport (Gran Canaria Airport, LPA) is 30-35 km away — a 21-25 minute drive — which makes arrivals and departures among the more convenient in the Canary Islands.
The location is the defining characteristic. Playa del Inglés is a full-service resort destination with its own shopping centers, independent restaurants, beach clubs, and nightlife. Guests here are not isolated at a self-contained beach compound — they're adjacent to a real town with real alternatives. The Maspalomas Dunes Nature Reserve, one of Gran Canaria's most dramatic natural features, is walkable. The famous Playa del Inglés beach is 1 km away, a 10-minute walk. This access cuts both ways: guests who want to leave the resort for dinner or an afternoon excursion can do so easily; guests who want a fully self-contained bubble will find the surroundings more present than at an isolated beachfront property.
The all-inclusive program covers meals at the Princess Restaurant (buffet with live cooking stations) and Bohío Restaurant (outdoor à la carte lunch at additional cost for all-inclusive guests — confirm at booking), plus three bars including the Coco Loco pool bar and the Princess Disco Lounge. Activities include yoga, Pilates, aqua gym, archery, and a well-equipped gym. The spa has two treatment rooms plus a sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, and Balinese beds.
The honest limitation is that the all-inclusive program is fairly narrow. With two restaurants and three bars, guests who have used all the dining options within a couple of days may feel the pull of independent restaurants in town — which is easy to act on, but does reduce the all-inclusive value proposition. The resort is better understood as a comfortable all-inclusive base in a walkable resort town than as a destination unto itself.
