The resort runs two experiences simultaneously: a family-friendly main property and an adults-only Sonne Beach Club with its own infinity pool, dedicated beach section, jacuzzis, and bar. Both are included in the all-inclusive rate depending on room category, but the physical separation works. The honest problem here is that Puerto Vallarta's Hotel Zone is not a beach destination the way Cancun's Hotel Zone is. The bay has good swimming conditions and the beach is wide and maintained, but the backdrop is urban and the proximity to the marina and downtown — while logistically convenient — removes some of the isolation that guests expect from an all-inclusive. The airport is 2-14 km away depending on where you're measuring from, meaning some room categories can hear aircraft.
