Exceptional Staff & Service
Guests consistently praise the friendly, helpful, and awesome staff, contributing significantly to a welcoming and positive atmosphere throughout their stay.
Expanded Resort Access
The unique advantage of freely using pools, restaurants, and amenities at the nearby El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel via a sky bridge is a major highlight, greatly enhancing the vacation experience.
Golfer's Convenience
Direct access to the renowned El Cid Golf & Country Club located just across the street makes El Cid Granada an outstanding choice for golf enthusiasts.
Prime Golden Zone Location
The resort's excellent location in Mazatlán's vibrant Golden Zone offers easy walking access to the beach, diverse shops, and entertainment options.
Great All-Inclusive Value
The all-inclusive plan is frequently lauded for its comprehensive offerings, providing good value for money, particularly with the added benefit of access to sister properties.
Aging Infrastructure
As the oldest El Cid property, some areas of the resort may show signs of wear and tear, though efforts are made to modernize facilities in other sections.
All-Inclusive Surcharges
Guests should be mindful of extra costs for premium dining items, room service, and certain beverages, which are not included even with the all-inclusive package.
Wi-Fi Limitations
While basic Wi-Fi is included for a limited number of devices, guests seeking more extensive or faster internet access may find it incurs additional fees.
Not Directly Beachfront
The resort is situated across the street from the beach, meaning guests need to walk a short distance or use the sky bridge for direct beach access.

El Cid Resorts
El Cid Granada's defining feature is its position directly across the street from El Cid Golf & Country Club — a 27-hole championship course with nine recently resurfaced tennis courts and a full gym. For the El Cid complex's four properties, Granada is the one built around sport rather than beach. Golf-focused travelers will appreciate the ability to walk to the first tee without a shuttle, and tennis players get nine courts rather than the one or two courts most all-inclusives provide.
The sky bridge connecting Granada to El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel is the other key feature. Castilla guests and Granada guests share pool, beach, and dining access via this link, which effectively gives Granada a beachfront experience despite being across the street. The shuttle system extends that further to El Cid El Moro. The net result is that 120-room Granada punches above its weight in terms of total facilities accessible to guests.
Families should note that Granada is the oldest of the four El Cid properties and it shows in parts of the property. Rooms range from renovated and fresh to noticeably dated, depending on which section you're assigned. The 120-room size also means common areas can feel quiet compared to Castilla's 500 rooms — which is either a feature or a drawback depending on what you want. The Kids Club program runs at Castilla rather than on-site, so families will be walking through the sky bridge for children's programming.
The 120 rooms split between 521 sq ft Studios and 1,020 sq ft One Bedroom Suites. Both have kitchenettes. Kids 5–12 stay free, which meaningfully reduces the per-night cost for families. The General Rafael Buelna Airport is 34 km away, about 31–48 minutes.
