Unique Family Water Features
Historically, families loved the resort's dedicated splash park with a pirate ship and the two unique surf pools, providing engaging and fun water activities for children.
World-Class Spa
The Dreams Spa by Pevonia, with its hydrotherapy circuit and extensive treatment menu, was a significant highlight for guests seeking relaxation and rejuvenation.
Adults-Only Rebrand Impact
The resort's transition to Hyatt Vivid Cancun (adults-only) has led to severe dissatisfaction for families who booked expecting former amenities, with reports of kids' facilities being removed and a 'building site' atmosphere.
Beach Expectations
The beachfront, while accessible, was often described by guests as small or not ideal for traditional expansive beach activities, leading to some disappointment.
Pool Heating
During cooler months, the main pools and the kids' water park were noted to be unheated and cold, contrasting with the comfortable temperature of the Preferred Club rooftop pool.
Service Pacing
While overall service was excellent, some guests experienced occasional delays, particularly when dining at restaurants during peak operational hours.

Four Diamond Rating
Former
AAA
Dreams Vista Cancun Golf & Spa Resort, opened on July 7, 2020, was conceived as a vibrant, all-inclusive family destination nestled in a quieter area of Cancun, Mexico. Its modern architectural design ensured that all 416 spacious rooms and suites offered impressive ocean views. The resort, a quick 22-30 minute transfer from Cancun International Airport (CUN), provided a contemporary escape from the bustling hotel zone, offering a sophisticated yet fun-filled environment for guests of all ages. Prior to its rebranding, it held a 4.5 to 5-star rating and a coveted AAA Four Diamond accolade.
Operating under the Unlimited-Luxury® concept, Dreams Vista Cancun differentiated itself with an array of unique features designed for both active and relaxed stays. Guests enjoyed not only three heated swimming pools, but also two innovative surf pools for stationary wave riding, a climbing wall, and a dedicated splash park. Its strategic location offered direct access to the adjacent Puerto Cancun Golf Course with special green fees, and a complimentary water shuttle transported guests to the Puerto Cancun Shopping Mall and the ferry terminal for Isla Mujeres.
Culinary experiences were a highlight, with eight distinct dining options ranging from diverse à la carte restaurants specializing in Italian, Asian, Mexican, and steakhouse cuisines, to a bountiful international buffet and an engaging food court with six thematic stations. For lighter bites and premium coffee, the 24-hour Coco Café and a gourmet ice cream parlor were popular choices. Six bars and lounges ensured a continuous flow of unlimited international and domestic top-shelf spirits, catering to every preference throughout the day and evening.
Wellness and relaxation were paramount at the world-class Dreams Spa by Pevonia, a full-service sanctuary featuring seven treatment rooms. Here, guests could indulge in an extensive menu of rejuvenating therapies, often complemented by a hydrotherapy circuit. Beyond the spa, the resort encouraged well-being through outdoor yoga, fitness classes, and a variety of recreational sports, seamlessly blending relaxation with active pursuits.
Notably, Dreams Vista Cancun was historically celebrated for its robust family-friendly offerings, including the Explorer's Club for children aged 3-12 and the Core Zone Teens Club for those 13-17, both with extensive daily programs. A pirate ship-themed splash park and family connecting suites underscored its commitment to multi-generational travel. However, a significant operational shift occurred on August 14, 2026, when the property rebranded as Hyatt Vivid Cancun, transitioning to an adults-only resort and consequently altering or removing these cherished family amenities.
Beyond the acclaimed surf pools, the resort boasted a main infinity pool at beach level, a lively family activity pool, and an exclusive adults-only rooftop infinity pool for Preferred Club guests, totaling six distinct water feature areas. While beachfront, the stretch of sand was often described as less expansive, with staff diligently managing seaweed. A full daily activities program, live entertainment, and non-motorized water sports rounded out the vibrant all-inclusive experience, fostering an environment where every guest could find their ideal vacation rhythm.
