TripAdvisor
Crown Paradise Golden distinguishes itself from its family-oriented neighbor (Crown Paradise Club) by admitting only guests 18 and older — the pools stay quieter, the restaurants seat adults, and the pace is slower. The property opened in 1997 and underwent a full room remodel in 2015, bringing the interiors up to a standard that holds reasonably well today. Its location in the North Hotel Zone places it 3–4km from Puerto Vallarta International Airport, which translates to a 4–15 minute drive depending on traffic — one of the shortest airport transfers on the Bay.
Salvador's, the main specialty restaurant, is the dining standout and receives consistent specific praise in guest reviews — reliable food quality and attentive service, which marks it as the exception in an all-inclusive context where à la carte restaurants often underdeliver on expectation. The heated infinity pool with integrated jacuzzi is the social center of the property and the most genuinely pleasant feature — the swim-up pool bar runs from 11am to 6pm.
The honest gaps: food quality is uneven outside Salvador's, with the buffet in particular drawing temperature and consistency complaints. Wi-Fi is unreliable in parts of the property. Beach umbrellas are apparently absent or scarce, which is a real issue on a hot Banderas Bay afternoon. Evening entertainment closes around 1am and the disco only operates Thursday through Saturday.
Practically: 214–216 rooms across seven categories from 344 sq ft Deluxe Rooms to a 420 sq ft Honeymoon Suite with a whirlpool tub on a large terrace overlooking the Bay. Two pools plus the new rooftop Sky7 pool and bar. Guests can access facilities at the neighboring Crown Paradise Club (the family resort next door), which expands the available pools, bars, and restaurants.
