TripAdvisor
Crown Paradise Club Puerto Vallarta's primary selling point is logistics: it sits 3km from the airport with a 10–15 minute transfer, and the entire property is engineered around keeping children occupied. The Kid's Paradise Club Water Park — pirate ship, castle, nine water slides, water fountains — is the centerpiece, and it runs all day from 9am to 5pm as part of the included program. The resort opened in 1997 with its last significant renovation in 2004, which means the physical infrastructure is aging; rooms are dated and occasional maintenance issues surface in guest reviews.
This is the right resort for families with children aged 3–12 who want a structured, high-energy beach week at a moderate price point. The all-inclusive package is genuinely comprehensive: three specialty à la carte restaurants (Italian, Japanese/Oriental, French) plus the main buffet, 24-hour room service, unlimited drinks, and dedicated clubs for babies (18 months–3 years), kids (4–12), and teens (12–17). The adults-only Club Caribe swim-up jacuzzi bar runs noon to 6pm for parents who need two hours away from the water park.
Who should look elsewhere: couples without children, guests who prioritize modern room finishes, anyone whose core experience is food quality. The buffet receives consistently mixed reviews — adequate variety but inconsistent temperature and execution. The à la carte restaurants require reservations that fill quickly and guests report difficulty securing preferred times, especially mid-week.
Practically: 252 rooms across six categories from 388 sq ft Standard Double to 1,819 sq ft Suite Prestige on the top floor of the Marina de Oro tower. The oceanfront infinity pool and five pool areas plus beach access cover the aquatic side. Banderas Bay beach here is wide and golden — beach vendors do operate on the public beach and can be persistent.
