Travel+Leisure voted it Best Caribbean Spa, and the configuration is genuinely unusual: 12 outdoor treatment gazebos on cliffsides with views over the sea, mineral spring pools on the grounds, and a location separate from the resort's main activity zones that gives it actual quiet. The 2022 $12 million renovation gave the property its most comprehensive update in decades, following targeted 2015 improvements to rooms and a restaurant.
The 35-acre setting on limestone cliffs and natural springs in Ocho Rios gives this resort a different landscape character than Negril beach properties. The terrain is more dramatic than flat. There's a private au naturel beach (Sunset Beach) with its own pool and swim-up bar — a completely separate area from the main beach that functions as a resort within the resort for guests who want that option.
