Gregolimano's claim to attention is waterskiing as an included activity with group lessons — motorized water sports at no extra cost is unusual in the Club Med portfolio and in European resort pricing generally. The resort is positioned on Evia Island's eastern coast, where the calm Aegean bay is well-suited for both waterskiing and the full suite of non-motorized water sports (sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling). The natural beach — white and golden sand against a pine forest backdrop — is the resort's physical backdrop rather than a manufactured amenity.
The arrival experience is distinctive: many guests arrive by boat to Gregolimano rather than a standard coach transfer from Athens. Athens Airport (ATH) is approximately 3 hours 15 minutes via coach and ferry; Volos-Néa Anchíalos Airport (VOL) cuts this to about 1 hour 45 minutes. The boat arrival isn't just logistics — it sets the tone that this is a proper island escape rather than a standard beach resort.
The post-2023 renovation added new Pine Grove room categories and a 400 sq m pool. The property now has four pools including an adults-only Zen pool. The Olea Gourmet Lounge is the specialty restaurant — reservation required, à la carte Greek and Mediterranean, with an extensive wine list. The standard tip is to reserve at check-in.
The resort suits active families, watersports enthusiasts, and couples who want a genuine Greek island setting. It's a poor fit for guests who want nightlife beyond resort entertainment, or who need proximity to a major city — Evia is a destination you're staying in, not a base for day trips. Flying trapeze is included, which differentiates the land activities program from standard beach resort offerings.
