Breathtaking Location and Views
Guests are consistently captivated by the resort's stunning clifftop setting, offering panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, Cefalù Bay, and the iconic La Rocca.
Exceptional Gourmet Dining
The culinary experience receives widespread acclaim for its high quality, variety of local Sicilian and international dishes, and the influence of Michelin-starred chefs.
High-Quality Accommodations
The villa-style rooms, particularly those with sea views, are praised for being comfortable, well-maintained, and offering both privacy and beautiful outlooks.
Diverse Included Activities
The extensive range of complimentary land and water sports, fitness classes, and wellness workshops provides abundant options for entertainment and relaxation.
Direct Access to Cefalù Town
The convenient seaside walking path allowing direct access to the charming historic town of Cefalù is a unique and highly appreciated feature.
Attentive Staff for Specific Needs
Individual G.O.s and kitchen staff are frequently lauded for their exceptional friendliness and willingness to go above and beyond, especially in accommodating dietary requirements.
Inconsistent 'Club Med Spirit'
Some guests note a departure from the energetic and highly interactive G.O. team experience typically found at other Club Med resorts, impacting the overall atmosphere.
Limited Facilities for Young Children
The resort caters to families with children aged 8 and above, notably lacking traditional kids' clubs for younger age groups, which may not suit all families.
Room Location and Privacy Concerns
While many rooms are excellent, guests advise specifically requesting sea-view villas to ensure optimal privacy and avoid less desirable room locations.
Extensive Walking Required
Due to the resort's expansive and hilly layout, guests should be prepared for a considerable amount of walking, although a buggy service is available to mitigate this.
Dining Option Limitations
Despite high food quality, some guests express concerns about limited à la carte choices, with the beach restaurant occasionally closed and a static menu in the gourmet lounge.

The food program is what makes Club Med Cefalù the standout of the European Club Med portfolio. All three restaurants have menus overseen by Andrea Berton, a Milan-based chef with four Michelin stars across his career. This is not a celebrity name lend — his influence shows in the Josper-grilled proteins at the main buffet, the house-made pasta at Il Palazzo, and the lobster specials at La Riva Beach Restaurant. No other Club Med property outside of specialized Exclusive Collection locations can make this claim.
This resort suits active couples, groups of friends, and families with children 8 and older. The minimum age of 8 is a firm policy — if you have younger children, look elsewhere in the Club Med portfolio. The resort's design by architects King Roselli was deliberately calibrated for a quieter, more intimate atmosphere than a typical Club Med. The 134 individual Villetta bungalows scattered across the clifftop property reinforce this — they feel genuinely private, unlike standard hotel room blocks.
The main criticism you'll encounter in reviews is the beach access. There's no sandy beach at the property itself; reaching the beach requires a winding path down the cliff with additional access by ladder or pontons. The walk is scenic but not trivial, and guests with mobility considerations should factor this in. The La Riva Beach Restaurant offers meals right at the waterfront, which partially compensates, but this is not a resort where you roll out of bed and step onto the sand.
The property runs 311 rooms, operates May through October (seasonal), and sits 90 minutes from Palermo Airport (PMO) and about 2 hours from Catania (CTA). The Zen natural pool — plant-purified, 16+ only — is among the more unusual pool options in the European all-inclusive market. Access to the 700 sq m Spa by SOTHYS is separate from the resort's included rate.
