Vibrant Party Atmosphere
Guests love the constant energy and social opportunities with daily pool parties, live DJs, and engaging entertainment, particularly in the Xcelerate Zone.
Exceptional Staff
The staff's attentiveness, friendliness, and willingness to go above and beyond consistently make a significant positive impression on guests.
Quality Dining & Drinks
À la carte dining is often praised for variety and quality (especially French, Italian, Asian cuisines), with the inclusion of top-shelf alcohol being a major draw for guests.
Modern & Clean Rooms
Guests appreciate the well-maintained, spacious, and comfortable rooms, often featuring modern amenities like rainfall showers, adjustable lighting, and great views.
Beach Quality
The resort's beach frequently has issues with seaweed and murky water, making it less ideal for swimming than some other Caribbean destinations.
Dinner Wait Times
Popular à la carte restaurants can experience very long wait times during peak dinner hours, causing frustration due to the resort's no-reservation policy.
Bathroom Privacy
The open-concept bathrooms with glass-walled showers and minimal covering can pose a significant privacy concern for guests sharing a room.
Inconsistent Buffet
While some find it acceptable, the buffet food frequently draws complaints for being bland, lacking variety, or not meeting expectations, especially for certain meals.
Party Noise Level
As a 'party resort,' the constant loud music and high energy, especially around the Xcelerate pool, might not be suitable for those seeking a tranquil and quiet getaway.

Breathless Riviera Cancun's most practical design feature is its three-zone layout: the Xhale Club tier offers elevated calm, the Energy Center handles the mid-level social atmosphere, and the Xcelerate Party Zone delivers DJ pool parties and themed events. In practical terms, you can move between all three depending on the day — something most party resorts with a single energy level don't accommodate. Opened 2016 and renovated in 2020, the resort's 362 suites feel genuinely fresh compared to older Cancun properties.
The location in Puerto Morelos is 15–20 minutes from Cancun airport — among the shorter transfers for a Riviera Maya property. The resort sits between the Caribbean Sea and the Lagoon of Bahia Petempich, meaning the beach is protected and conditions are generally calm, though sargassum is reported periodically. The Xcelerate pool draws the most consistent praise for atmosphere, but the glass-walled showers in some rooms are a legitimate privacy concern that guests flag — worth asking about at booking.
No reservations are required at any of the nine restaurants, but arriving early for dinner is advisable during peak weeks — waits can be significant at the French and Italian venues. The Hyatt Inclusive Collection app allows you to view theme nights and restaurant schedules in advance, which is useful planning.
Practically: 362 suites, 9 restaurants, 9 bars, 12 single and 2 double spa treatment cabins with full hydrotherapy circuit, and three distinct pool zones. Swim-out rooms (Xhale Club tier) are particularly well-reviewed for direct pool access.
