A working fairytale castle is the centrepiece of Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife — it houses the most expensive suite on the property, functions as a backdrop for nightly theatrical light shows, and sets the tone for everything here. This is a resort built specifically for families with young children who want to feel like they walked into a storybook. No other all-inclusive in the Canary Islands leans this hard into immersive theme design.
Families with children aged 3–12 are the obvious target guest. The Kids Club operates from 10am to 8pm, starts with a magician greeting children at check-in, and runs arts and crafts, pizza-making sessions, and movie nights. Teenagers get their own club open until 11pm with billiards, foosball, and console games. Adults without children will find the property loud, busy, and not particularly relaxing — the adults-only infinity pool is a meaningful escape, but it's one quiet zone in an otherwise high-energy resort.
The main recurring complaint in guest reviews involves the pool deck surfaces, which guests describe as dangerously slippery — there have been reported injuries. This is a genuine safety concern, particularly relevant if you're traveling with young children who run. The resort's size also creates waits for elevators that are frequently cited as frustrating, especially for strollers.

Four dining options include three à la carte restaurants (Japanese teppanyaki, steakhouse, and Italian) plus the main buffet — all are included in the all-inclusive package. The three à la carte venues require reservations, and guests are typically limited to 2–3 specialty bookings per week; book via the resort app immediately at check-in, as popular time slots go within hours. Seven pool areas include five outdoor pools, two splash parks, and one adults-only infinity pool.
Winter visitors should note the location in Golf del Sur is windy, and the resort's nearest sandy beach is 8 km away. The seafront is 700 metres from the property but is pebble, not sand.
