The restaurant holds a Michelin star, AAA Five Diamond recognition, and was named Best Restaurant in Mexico by Travel + Leisure México — a 12-course avant-garde Mexican contemporary tasting menu at extra cost, adults-only, reservation essential, closed Sundays. Nothing else in the Riviera Maya all-inclusive market competes with it directly.
The property works best for couples or families who want a polished all-inclusive experience with a credible fine-dining option on-site. Families get the Nickelodeon™ Experience — character interactions, themed events — plus Baby and Toddler Inclusive Amenities including organic baby food and gear. Adults-only couples can book into the Junior Suite Adults Only category and stick to the adults-only pool and lounge circuit. Skip this property if you want a sprawling mega-resort with a dozen poolside bars and nightly high-production shows — this is a 435-suite property with a quieter personality outside the specialty restaurant circuit.
One critical piece of information to verify before booking: as of November 1, 2024, this property left the Karisma Hotels & Resorts portfolio. The Azul Beach Resort brand and Le Chique remain with Karisma, but the management structure changed. Confirm current booking terms, what's included under the all-inclusive rate, and whether Gourmet Inclusive® coverage still applies as described. Six pools: three free-form main pools, adults-only pool, kids club pool, and a lazy river. Vassa Spa at 8,000 sq ft with 13 treatment suites including VIP couples rooms and Bridal Suite. Beach is good for sunbathing; less suited for snorkeling due to water conditions.
