Armony Marival's architecture is the first thing guests notice: building materials, plantings, and water features are integrated throughout the resort in a way that blurs the line between indoor and outdoor space. The award-winning biophilic design — which also incorporates Huichol artisanal work including a large 'Tree of Life' — is not decoration added later; it's structural. For a beach resort on Mexico's Riviera Nayarit, that deliberate visual identity makes Armony feel meaningfully different from the cookie-cutter layouts of comparable Punta de Mita properties.
The resort transitioned to family-friendly in April 2025. Before that date, it operated as adults-only. Guests planning stays after April 2025 should account for children being present — a meaningful change from the original design intent. That said, the daily adults-only programming (sound healing, ice bath challenge, watsu water therapy, Armony Vibes cocktail parties, Mita Beats pool events) is maintained, and the resort has not become a water-park property.
The Mélange World Spa is a serious wellness offering: 7 treatment cabins, global treatment traditions across five regions, and a complimentary 15-minute introductory service included with every stay. Watsu water therapy — aquatic bodywork performed in a heated pool — is included in the daily activity program, which is unusual at this price tier. Sound healing and ice bath sessions for adults are also included. The AAA Four Diamond rating since 2022 reflects the overall service standard.
Divum is the adults-only flagship restaurant: a farm-to-table tasting experience with a '0 km' sourcing philosophy and panoramic views of Banderas Bay. The signature dishes (beef tartare, roasted duck, chocolate dome) and the setting are the strongest single dining experience at the resort. Reserve on arrival day — slots are limited.
The honest limitations are consistent across reviews. Timeshare presentation sales pitches are aggressive — guests describe losing half a day to high-pressure tactics. Service quality is inconsistent: some staff interactions are excellent, others are described as perfunctory or rude. The access road to the resort is a poorly signed dirt road — arriving at night without advance directions causes problems. Some guests find the all-inclusive program less comprehensive than expected: non-motorized water sports access, certain menu items, and room service (10% service charge) all have hidden costs.
The resort has 268 accommodations: 212 rooms and 56 suites ranging from 340 sq ft (Allure/Lush rooms) to 1,374 sq ft (two-bedroom suites). Airport transfer from Puerto Vallarta (PVR) is 30–60 minutes depending on traffic. Five pools, five hot tubs. Destiladeras Beach has 281 meters of private frontage — calm for bodyboarding, good for non-motorized sports in season.
