The Westin Resort & Spa Puerto Vallarta is transforming into a full all-inclusive property, set to reopen on May 1 as The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort. It marks the first time the Westin brand has gone all-inclusive in Mexico, and it comes after a multi-million-dollar renovation that has overhauled every corner of the property.

Sitting on 14 jungle-framed beachfront acres in Puerto Vallarta, the resort will feature 281 reimagined suites, including 30 with private plunge pools and 16 swim-up rooms that open directly onto the pool. Guests will have access to 10 culinary and entertainment venues, a reimagined Westin Heavenly Spa, and new recreation options including pickleball and padel courts alongside the brand's WestinWorkout Fitness Studio.

The move fits a broader pattern across Marriott's all-inclusive portfolio, which has expanded aggressively in the Caribbean and Latin America over the past two years. The Westin conversion adds a wellness-forward option to a segment that has historically leaned toward party atmospheres and mega-resorts.

Cash rates when the property reopens will start around $423 per night for two guests. The resort sits a short drive from Puerto Vallarta's international airport, making it one of the more accessible luxury all-inclusive options on Mexico's Pacific coast.

For travelers who know the Westin brand for its signature beds and spa-centric approach, this is the first chance to get that experience wrapped in an all-inclusive package south of the border.
