St. Regis Maldives Brings Tennis Stars Within Reach, With Sessions to Reserve

The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort has announced an autumn tennis series with Donna Vekić, Paula Badosa and Daniil Medvedev in partnership with LUX Tennis. The useful detail for guests is now on Marriott's event pages: each visit has a short schedule of private, adult-group and junior sessions, rather than continuous access throughout a holiday.

When can guests join each player?

Vekić's visit runs October 29 to November 1. Marriott lists a meet-and-greet on October 29, private and adult-group sessions on October 30 and 31, then a private session and junior group on November 1. Families considering the opening weekend should check which of those sessions suits their player.

Badosa's programme falls on November 13 and 14. The first day includes a morning meet-and-greet, private sessions and an adult group. The second day includes a junior group and another private session. Those dates give guests a specific reason to align a stay with the programme, provided a place is available.

Medvedev's event listing spans November 25 to 27, but its published activity schedule places the meet-and-greet and adult group on November 26, with a junior group on November 27. Private sessions appear on both activity days. Travellers should distinguish the listing's date range from the actual sessions they want to attend.

Is participation included in a villa booking?

The public event pages direct guests to the resort team for reservations and personalised arrangements. They do not publish a usable session price or say that every villa booking includes participation. Confirm the charge, eligibility, group size and available places before booking a stay around a player appearance.

The series sits within the resort's Astor Club Soirée guest programming. Its mix of private coaching and group activities gives recreational players and younger guests different options, but the session label alone does not establish an age limit or ability requirement. Those are questions for the reservations team.

What else needs to fit the itinerary?

Vommuli is in Dhaalu Atoll in the Maldives, with arrival normally requiring a pre-booked seaplane connection. Coordinate the international flight, transfer and confirmed tennis time together. A short residency leaves little room for a missed connection, especially if the session that matters falls on arrival or departure day.
