Bay Gardens Resorts, a family-owned hospitality company with over 30 years in St. Lucia, is opening Sapphire Sands Villas on June 1 directly on Reduit Beach in Rodney Bay Village.

The property features nine beachfront villas totaling 27 keys, configurable as one-, two-, or three-bedroom units. Select ground-floor villas include private plunge pools, and all guests receive private butler service. Each villa comes equipped with a full kitchen, making the property a hybrid between a traditional resort and a vacation rental.

Amenities include the Moonstone Spa with dedicated treatment rooms, a sunrise yoga pavilion, fitness center, and Kimchi and Kalaloo, a restaurant blending Asian and Caribbean cuisines. Guests also get access to five Bay Gardens properties through the company Stay at 1, Play at 5 program, along with the Splash Island Water Park.

Nightly rates start at $401 for a deluxe beachfront king room, dropping to $334 with the Bay Gardens rewards program membership. Units with private pools run approximately $556 per night.

The opening reflects a broader trend across the Caribbean: locally owned resort companies scaling up to compete with international chains. Bay Gardens has built its portfolio entirely on St. Lucia, and Sapphire Sands represents its first purpose-built luxury property. Reduit Beach, already one of the island busiest stretches with direct marina access and a cluster of restaurants, gives the villas a built-in foot traffic advantage that newer, more remote developments lack.
