This Hotel Group Just Opened Three Punta Cana Resorts on the Same Day
Lopesan welcomed its first guests to three adjoining new resorts at once, capping a US$350 million bet on the Dominican Republic.
Lopesan Hotel Group opened three new resorts in Punta Cana simultaneously, welcoming the first guests to Lopesan Caoba Lagoon, Lopesan Serenity Bay and Lopesan Splash Cove in a single coordinated debut. The Spanish company calls it its largest Caribbean expansion to date, backed by more than US$350 million and adding over 1,000 rooms to its Dominican Republic portfolio.
Rather than three standalone hotels, the properties were designed as one connected campus, each with a distinct personality but shared access to dining, nightlife and entertainment.
- Lopesan Caoba Lagoon — A 554-room flagship built around a 127-meter lagoon pool, cenote-inspired design and 10 waterfalls. It also houses the new Lopesan Convention Center, with capacity for more than 2,000 attendees.
- Lopesan Serenity Bay — An adults-only retreat with 239 rooms, quieter pools and dedicated dining for guests who want a calmer stay without losing access to the wider complex.
- Lopesan Splash Cove — A family resort with 242 rooms, a wave pool, water-park attractions and sports programming aimed at multigenerational groups.
Tying the three together is The Boulevard, an open-air promenade built to feel more like a town center than a resort amenity, with chef-driven restaurants, cocktail bars, shopping, an 820-seat theater and a casino. The opening brings Lopesan's Punta Cana presence to four resorts alongside the existing Lopesan Costa Bávaro.
The simultaneous launch reflects how much money is flowing into the Dominican Republic, now one of the Caribbean's fastest-growing markets. "This expansion marks a defining moment for Lopesan Hotel Group in the Caribbean," said Carlos Jimenez, the company's Caribbean regional director, framing the campus as "a new perspective to the modern all-inclusive."
