This Spanish Resort Group Just Pulled Off Its Biggest Caribbean Move Ever — Three Openings at Once
One hotel group welcomed guests to three brand-new all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana at the same time, its largest Caribbean expansion to date.
Lopesan Hotel Group has opened three new all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana at the same time, the Spanish company's largest single expansion in the Caribbean. The trio sits on the Bavaro coastline alongside the group's existing Lopesan Costa Bavaro, turning what was one resort into a sprawling four-property complex.
Each of the new resorts is built for a different kind of traveler. Lopesan Caoba Lagoon Resort, Spa & Casino is the centerpiece, with cenote-inspired pools, landscaped lagoons, a wave pool and the Aquatica water park. Lopesan Serenity Bay is the adults-only option, a quieter 239-suite building for guests who want calm without giving up access to the wider resort. Lopesan Splash Cove leans into families, pairing kid-friendly water attractions with easy reach of everything else on site.
Tying the three together is The Boulevard, an open-air promenade shared across all four Lopesan properties. It gives guests one connected strip of chef-driven restaurants, casual dining, cocktail bars and late-night venues, so a stay at any of the resorts unlocks the full spread rather than a single hotel's dining lineup.
The timing matters. The Dominican Republic has been posting record visitor numbers, and Punta Cana remains the country's busiest resort market. Dropping three properties into it at once is a sizable bet that demand for all-inclusive rooms on this stretch of coast still has room to grow.
