One of Aruba's Oldest Resorts Just Added a 161-Room Adults-Only Tower — With Swim-Up Rooms
The Westerly tower at Hilton Aruba debuts with swim-up rooms, a rooftop lounge, and a full redesign of the 1959 Palm Beach landmark.
The Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino is about to look very different. The property on Aruba's Palm Beach is opening The Westerly, a brand-new 161-room tower that adds an adults-only dimension to the 15-acre beachfront property.
The tower's standout feature is its swim-up rooms — guest rooms with private terraces that open directly into a pool channel, a concept that's common in Mexico and the Dominican Republic but rare in Aruba. Interiors use limestone, walnut, and natural materials in warm island tones, moving away from the generic resort look.
Topping the building is Terrace on 10, a rooftop venue reserved for adults. The programming rotates throughout the day: morning wellness sessions (Pilates, breathwork), midday lounging with cabanas, and evening dining with craft cocktails and live entertainment. Westerly guests also get a dedicated check-in area with concierge services, plus full access to the existing resort's two pools, eforea spa, casino, and restaurant lineup.
The original property dates to 1959, when it opened as the Aruba Caribbean Hotel — one of the island's first major resorts. The Westerly addition is the most significant expansion since Hilton took over management, and it repositions the resort to compete with newer luxury builds along the Palm Beach strip.
Reservations open in April 2026, with initial rates around $846 per night. For a resort that's been a Palm Beach fixture for nearly seven decades, The Westerly signals that Hilton isn't content to coast on nostalgia.
