Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico will open Perla, an evening supper club, on Oct. 19, followed by Ocean Terrace, an oceanfront Mediterranean restaurant, in early November. Both are at Bahía Beach in Río Grande, east of San Juan, and arrive less than a year after Four Seasons entered Puerto Rico with a $40 million transformation of the former St. Regis Bahía Beach. The resort opened in November 2025 with 139 rooms and suites and 85 private residences.

What is Perla?

Perla, Spanish for pearl, is built for a long, special-occasion dinner. The draw is tableside theatre: a Champagne, martini and caviar cart and a chef-led caviar service. The opening menu leans on seafood and steak:

  • Dressed oysters and hamachi with guanábana ponzu
  • Chilean sea bass and a Prime New York strip
  • Large-format plates, including a tomahawk steak and whole Dover sole

The room is intimate, and the resort frames it around sobremesa, the habit of lingering at the table after the meal. Guests planning an anniversary or a last-night dinner should book early once reservations open, since a small supper club fills faster than an all-day restaurant.

What will Ocean Terrace serve?

Ocean Terrace is the casual counterpart, set beside the pool and shoreline and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Expect handcrafted pizzas, housemade pastas and fresh seafood, with dishes like charred octopus, shrimp insalata, mussels al limone and an Italian-style adobo half chicken. Recurring brunches and seasonal programming are planned.

What happened to El Bembé?

The lobby bar formerly called El Bembé is now Palm Court. It keeps the Puerto Rican and Latin-inspired flavors regulars knew, with handcrafted cocktails and light bites from morning to evening. Executive Chef Victor Rosado oversees all three venues.

Is Four Seasons Puerto Rico all-inclusive?

No. Dining here is paid as you go, so Perla and Ocean Terrace mainly change how much variety guests get without leaving the property. The resort already holds one Michelin Key, the guide's hotel distinction, and the new venues give its dining a stronger case to match. Travelers who would rather prepay meals and drinks can compare the island's all-inclusive options, which come with no passport needed for U.S. citizens.
