The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas, will open 26 redesigned Hartford Wing ocean-view accommodations for stays beginning Oct. 8, 2026, after the resort's seasonal closure on Paradise Island.

The project covers 24 Hartford Ocean View Guestrooms and two Hartford Ocean View Suites in the resort's original 1962 wing. Palm Beach designer Joanna Kerr led the interiors, swapping darker wood paneling for lighter sand-and-sea tones while keeping the wing's classical layout and Atlantic views.

What changed in the rooms

Guestrooms now use blue linen-inspired wallcoverings, layered wood finishes from chocolate to greige oak, and furnishings that nod to vintage travel trunks. New tile flooring takes cues from sand and shell stone. Bathrooms get large-format wave-patterned stone tile, basketweave mosaics in the showers, and updated vanity and lighting details.

Custom pieces include hand-tufted rugs with Hartford courtyard motifs, sculptural woven pendants, and a private bar finished in shimmering blue glass mosaic. Black-and-white photography throughout the rooms references the property's mid-century glamour without turning the wing into a museum set.

Ground-floor rooms keep private terraces opening to the lawn, which families often prefer. Upper-level rooms trade that direct access for quieter privacy while staying steps from the lobby, spa, Martini Bar, and main dining.

Why October guests should care

The Hartford Wing sits at the heart of the resort, beside a palm courtyard and within easy reach of DUNE by Jean-Georges, Ocean Blu, and the recently refreshed adults-only Versailles Pool. Guests who book specifically for the redesigned rooms can pair the debut with Nora Tobin's Nature Reset Rejuvenation Weekend from Oct. 16 to 19, or the Holiday Healthy weekend from Dec. 4 to 7.

Recreation has expanded too: two illuminated padel courts now sit beside resurfaced Har-Tru tennis courts near Versailles Gardens, with pickleball, basketball, and a multi-purpose turf field also on site. Kids ages four to 12 still have the complimentary Kids For All Seasons program.

How to book the refreshed rooms

Reservations for the enhanced Hartford Ocean View Guestrooms and Suites are open now for arrivals from Oct. 8. Four Seasons is also marketing an Advance Purchase Offer with savings of up to 20 percent when guests reserve and prepay at least 15 days before arrival.

Travelers comparing Paradise Island luxury stays should ask for Hartford Wing inventory by name if the redesign is the reason for the trip. The wing's location and terrace access are the practical differentiators versus other Ocean Club room categories, not just the new fabrics and tile.
