Disney's Polynesian Village Extends Refurbishments Into Early 2027 for Resort Guests
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort now lists refurbishment work into early 2027. Guests should allow extra travel time and check views before booking.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort has extended its refurbishment window into early 2027, according to an updated Disney notice reported October 20. The previous timetable ran through the end of 2026, so travelers planning a winter stay should check the work against their dates.
What could affect a stay?
The notice covers areas of the Polynesian Village Resort and Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, including changes to the front entrance roadway. Daytime construction will be noticeable, and some views toward the theme parks and surrounding area may be affected. Disney advises allowing additional time when arriving at or leaving the resort.
Most dining, pools and amenities are expected to remain available. Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace has a separate temporary closure listed through late October because of work at the Grand Ceremonial House. That shorter window should not be read as the finish date for the wider project.
What should you confirm before choosing a room?
Ask Disney how the current work relates to the building and view category you are considering, especially if you expect to spend afternoons resting at the hotel. Check the latest access arrangements before setting an airport transfer or dining reservation.
Early 2027 is a window, not a confirmed completion day. For a trip built around quiet daytime resort time or a particular outlook, get a current description of the likely conditions before committing to a non-refundable booking.
