Hyatt's First Property in Turks and Caicos Is Almost Ready — and It's on One of the World's Best Beaches
The Andaz Turks & Caicos at Grace Bay is set to open this spring with 59 rooms and 74 residences, marking Hyatt's debut in the destination and the Andaz brand's first Caribbean property.
Hyatt is about to plant its flag in one of the Caribbean's most coveted destinations. The Andaz Turks & Caicos at Grace Bay — a 59-room boutique resort with 74 branded residences — is on track for a spring 2026 opening after recently celebrating a topping-off milestone that was completed ahead of schedule.
The 5.5-acre property will sit directly on Grace Bay Beach, consistently ranked among the world's best stretches of sand. It marks two firsts: Hyatt's inaugural hotel in Turks and Caicos and the Andaz brand's debut anywhere in the Caribbean.
Amenities lean into the boutique-luxury space rather than mega-resort scale. Guests will have access to three restaurants and bars, a full-service indoor/outdoor spa with cold plunge, a garden yoga studio, tennis and pickleball courts, a kids' club, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The 74 branded residences will be available for private ownership.
The project has been a long time coming. Originally announced in 2018 with a 2021 target, construction was delayed by the pandemic and the typical complications of island development. But the recent topping-off ceremony — marking the completion of the building's structural framework — suggests the finish line is finally in sight.
Hyatt has been aggressively expanding its resort footprint across the Caribbean and Mexico in recent years, with properties like Hyatt Ziva Cancún, Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana, and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall already established. The Andaz addition signals the company is now targeting the ultra-premium boutique segment in the region, not just the all-inclusive market.
