The Luxury Hotel Brand Made Famous by 'The White Lotus' Just Announced Its First-Ever U.S. Property
Minor Hotels is bringing Anantara to the United States with a 50-story tower in Miami's Edgewater neighborhood, featuring 50 hotel suites and 220 branded residences.
Anantara Hotels and Resorts, the luxury brand featured in the first season of HBO's The White Lotus, is making its U.S. debut with a 50-story tower in Miami's Edgewater neighborhood. The project, developed in partnership with One Thousand Group, was announced this week by Bangkok-based Minor Hotels.
Anantara Miami Resort and Residences will rise at 3601 Biscayne Boulevard, at the intersection of the Design District, Wynwood, and Edgewater. The 650-foot tower will house 50 five-star hotel suites, 100 private branded condominiums, and 120 resort residences whose owners can opt into the hotel rental program.
Architecture comes from Kohn Pedersen Fox, the firm behind some of the world's tallest towers, with interiors by Patricia Urquiola. The design will draw on Anantara's signature blend of local cultural immersion and Southeast Asian hospitality traditions, including a dedicated vitality center focused on movement, nutrition, and recovery inspired by centuries-old Thai healing practices.
The announcement is significant for the broader resort and hospitality industry. Minor Hotels has openly called the U.S. "the final frontier" for its expansion, and Anantara's recognition surged after The White Lotus filmed its first season at an Anantara property in Thailand. The brand now operates luxury resorts across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
Sales for the Miami residences are expected to launch later this year through One Sotheby's International Realty, with the property targeting a 2030 opening. For travelers who have been following Anantara from afar, Miami will soon offer a much closer look.
