Trailborn Hotels & Resorts opened the doors to Trailborn Jackson Hole on June 2, marking the brand's largest property to date and its first all-season ski-in/ski-out resort. The 203-room property is a complete reimagination of the former Snow King Resort Hotel at the base of Snow King Mountain.

The overhaul blends Jackson's Western heritage with a contemporary, design-forward approach. Key additions include Ember Lily, Trailborn's first full-service spa, and the Alley-Oop, an expansive game room featuring a two-lane duckpin bowling alley, shuffleboard, and lounge seating. Dining options include Old Timer Restaurant & Bar, serving mountain-inspired American fare, and the Mountainside Bar & Café.

Location is a major draw. The resort sits minutes from downtown Jackson and a short drive from both Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. An on-site Adventure Concierge can arrange everything from national park tours and whitewater rafting to fly fishing and sleigh rides.

Trailborn, which operates a growing collection of nature-forward properties across the American West, sees Jackson Hole as a milestone. The brand has built its reputation on smaller, character-driven hotels in places like Highlands, North Carolina and Marfa, Texas. At 203 rooms, the Jackson Hole property is a significant step into the full-service resort category.

For travelers who associate Snow King with a dated ski lodge, the rebrand signals a broader shift: boutique hotel companies are increasingly targeting iconic mountain destinations that legacy operators have underinvested in.
