This Iconic Hawaii Resort Just Debuted a 'Hotel Within a Hotel' — With 26 Redesigned Rooms and a Private Lounge
Four Seasons Resort Maui unveiled its renovated Club Floor with transformed rooms, a private lounge, and dedicated concierge, as part of a major property-wide transformation.
Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea has debuted its newly renovated Club Floor, a "hotel within a hotel" experience featuring 26 redesigned guest rooms and suites alongside a reimagined private lounge with dedicated concierge service.
The project, led by New York design studio Meyer Davis, draws inspiration from ancient Hawaiian celestial navigation. The design uses natural materials like reclaimed wood, stone, raffia, and seagrass throughout, with carved wood details paying tribute to Hawaiian artistic traditions.
Club Floor guests get a distinctly elevated experience: private check-in and check-out, a personal concierge team (many of whom have served the Club Floor for decades), and a lounge that transitions through the day from curated breakfast to afternoon tea to evening cocktails and after-dinner drinks.
The rooms themselves feature a muted palette of creams, soft blues, and whites that shifts with Maui's natural light. Each has a private lanai framing views of the West Maui Mountains and neighboring islands. The layouts create distinct zones for sleep, relaxation, and activity, encouraging guests to settle into a slower pace.
"The Club Floor represents the Resort's commitment to exceptional, personalized service in its most refined form," said General Manager Konrad Gstrein.
This is just the opening act of a larger transformation planned for the 15-acre Wailea resort. Later this year, all 383 guest rooms and suites will receive a refresh. The property will also debut the Queen's Garden, a cultural sanctuary honoring Queen Lili'uokalani, a grab-and-go concept by Pantry by Madhappy, and a new spa and wellness center with an aqua-thermal experience.
The Club Floor is available for booking now. Rates vary seasonally, though Four Seasons' club-level accommodations typically carry a premium of several hundred dollars per night over standard rooms.
